dProperties installation

On Talete website you can download the files needed to install dProperties on the desired platform:

WINDOWS

Download the setup file from Talete website, run it and follow the instructions.

LINUX

If you are willing to install dProperties on a Debian or derived (like Ubuntu) distribution or on a Red Hat or derived (like Fedora)distribution, you can choose to use the available DEB and RPM packages. Just download the desired package and install it using your system package manager. dProperties is actually available only as 32 bit binaries (i386 architecture).

If your Linux distribution or your system architecture don't allow you to use these packages, you can install dProperties using the tarball file, using the following instructions:

1.Extract the content of the tarball file into the desired directory (for instance /opt/dproperties).
2.We suggest to copy the help/ directory and the desc.sqlite file into the directory /usr/share/dproperties. If you don't do this operation, you will have to set an environment variable named DRAGON_PROPERTIES containing the path where the help/ directory and the desc.sqlite file are. For example on most shell environment, the command will be like: 'export DRAGON_PROPERTIES=/opt/ dproperties /'
3.Make sure that all libraries needed by dProperties are correctly installed. dProperties Graphic User Interface relies on the following libraries: libc6, libx11-6, libgtk2.0-0, libglib2.0-0, libpango1.0-0, libcairo2, libatk1.0-0, libgl1-mesa-glx, libsqlite3-0.
